New design, expect some hiccups

I’ve finally did the DNS changes for the new site, so if you’re seeing this then your ISP has updated its nameservers. I just want to note that the design and upgrade isn’t 100% complete yet - there is still some work to be done. However I wanted to get things switched over as soon as possible.

Hopefully you all like the new design. It’s a big improvement on the old one, that’s for sure. There will be some hiccups, possible broken links etc - all I ask is that you bear with me for a couple of days, and we should have the site running smoothly again in no time. I’ve got a lot of new articles that I am just aching to write!

Design Changes

Design Changes

Just as an example of me practicing what I preach - when I was in the planning stages for the Poker Affiliate Bible, I thought big but I started small. I’ve got a lot of plans for this site - trip reports for various conferences, audio and video “articles” and interviews with key players of the poker affiliate world to name just a few. Think Big, Start Small

Think Big, Start Small

Most affiliates I talk to always talk about these grand plans that they have for the sites that they are building. And that’s fine. I encourage that. However I also make sure to give them a reality check; while it is good to be optimistic, it is better to start slow, build a foundation first and then expand. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it is very easy to suffer burnout if you take on too big a project. Furthermore, by focusing on smaller sites you’re more likely to hit your target market, and less likely to lose players who aren’t interested in everything you offer. In other words, Think Big, Start Small.
