Absolute Poker Affiliate Program Review Guide
One of the questions I am most often asked is whether or not an affiliate should promote the Chipleader brands, specifically Absolute Poker. For those unaware, Absolute Poker has had many scandals in 2007 and 2008 that have really ruined the companys name and image. Just one of these scandals involved the CEO of Absolute using a “superuser account” to see other peoples cards, and play against them and take millions away from them. Absolute have also recently had a lot of problem in regard to stat updates, and aren’t the best when it comes to contact.
So honestly - it’s up to you if you want to promote Absolute. I personally don’t, however I never really had a strong relationship with them to begin with. If I had, I might have thought different. The fact is there is a lot less affiliates promoting them, and many affiliates see this as an opportunity to promote them more.
If you’re going to be running any sort of site devoted to bonuses, then the first site you should be promoting is Absolute Poker. They always have a great signup bonus, currently 100% to $750, which clear at an industry-acceptable rate of $10 per 100 raked hands. They also have frequent reloads, and we mean FREQUENT, with about $1000 given away every week in bonuses to every player, with e-mails sent to all the players which clearly encourages players to play often. The best thing about it? The bonuses don’t even come off the players revenue accumulation, so a player can clear $5,000 in a month in bonuses at Absolute, and it won’t negatively affect your earnings at all! Here’s the stat sheet:
| Accepts US Players? | Yes. |

Absolute Poker is a site with a lot to offer new and current players. There is always a lot of games going, be it Hold’Em, Omaha or Stud at varying limits, so your players should always be able to find a game to play. Absolute also offers a lot of large tournaments as well as freerolls, so you have both ends of the spectrum in that regard. With the bonus structure and amount of freerolls, Absolute Poker is a site that should help players maintain a bankroll.
At least weekly, a newsletter is sent out informing players of the latest promotions and any other news related to Absolute Poker. There is also APTV, which is regularly updated, and has one of the Absolute Poker babes telling your players about all the excellent things currently going on at Absolute.
Absolute Poker also has celebrity poker players as part of their team, including Mark Seif and Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi. Players can get a membership card indicating that they are a member of Team Absolute, and with vibrant forums as well, Absolute Poker offers a very strong community that should make all players feel welcome. Rakeback is allowed, and is capped at 28%, meaning you cannot offer more than that to your players. Their poker network is shared with sites like Ultimate Bet too.
The Absolute affiliate system offers detailed reports on players, and you can see stats per players username, including all their deposits, money wagered at Blackjack, revenue in cash games and tournaments, as well as how many hands were played. You can also see stats on what creatives are getting you the most click-thrus etc, so you know what banners/text links are attracting the most players.
