Poker Affiliate Bible Revamp Blog – Part 2
Welcome to the second part of the Poker Affiliate Bible revamp blog, as we set about rebuilding this website from the ground up. It’s a big task – but it’s fun and the end result is going to be sick.
You can read part one here. In part two we’re doing to be discussing the two biggest elements when it comes to planning out a website: site design
Boss Network Pulling Out of Canada
It was announced today that the online poker room PokerKings will not be letting any Canadians join their poker room as of September 24th. This is the beginning of ALL Boss/IPN websites on that network blocking Canadians.
The End of Google Wave
One new feature of the new Poker Affiliate Bible will be the “blog” section. I’ve written some blogs on here before, but I’d like to make it a more focal point of the new Affiliate Bible where I comment regularly on going-ons in the industry or hot topics that are taking place across the forums.
While we work on the new affiliate bible I thought I would keep things busy here with numerous blog updates.
Blog: 1 Website,3 Domains,25 Headaches
I’ve built over 100 websites in the last few years. It’s at the point where I’ve did it so often, you’d assume I could do it in my sleep.
You’d be wrong.
Where can YOU link to ME?
It amuses me these days how the concept of linking to another website is like asking a webmaster to kill their own mother. I wish I was joking with that analogy, but I’m not. Just earlier this week, a webmaster e-mailed me wanting to link to Poker Affiliate Bible because he appreciated the advice here, and what specific anchor text I’d like. So I told him, and I thought that was that until I got that awful e-mail:
“Where can YOU link to ME?”
CAP London: Meet With Me
I will be attending the CAP Euro event in London, England which takes place January 29th to February 1st, 2009. These conferences are always a great experience, and especially beneficial if you’re a new affiliate. I’m currently setting up meetings etc. right now, so if any affiliates or affiliate programs want to meet up with me, to just sit back and chat, seek advice or talk about working together, now is the time!
See the Contact Page for more information on how to get in touch with me, and let’s meet up!
Cardspike Poker Warning: Scam Site
It’s sad that so soon after Christmas, I have to write about Cardspike Poker, and why you should avoid playing poker there or promoting them. Cardspike Poker can be added to the list of rogue affiliate programs and poker rooms to add to your poker room blacklist unfortunately, as after many months they are still not paying affiliates or players.
Cake Poker’s Christmas Gift To Me
As both a poker affiliate and poker player, it boggles my mind sometimes how selfish and greedy poker rooms can be. They rake in millions a year, barely handing anything out to the player in return – and anything they do offer the player, like a loyalty program or reload bonuses, are still both designed to make themselves money. They never offer affiliates free money – it’s always “Bring us 15 players this month we’ll give you an extra $100″.
Then there’s Cake Poker.
They get it. [Read More]
